Continuous Control for Precise Mould Temperature Control
RHYTEMPER FlowControl extends the RHYTEMPER FlexControl system with continuous flow control based on servo-controlled proportional valves. The proven individual circuit control is fully retained and supplemented by additional options for thermal process control.
With Delta-T control, the temperature difference between the supply and return flow of each individual cooling circuit is continuously controlled by adjusting the flow rate. This allows the thermal management of the mould to be specifically adapted to the requirements of the respective injection moulding process.
FlowControl is particularly suitable for applications where, in addition to pulse control, a constant temperature difference or continuously consistent thermal management of the mould is required. The system is designed for media temperatures up to 140 °C.
Servo-Controlled Proportional Valves for Stepless Control
The servo-controlled proportional valves enable fast and stepless adjustment of the flow rate in each individual cooling circuit. This allows the flow rate to be precisely adapted to the thermal requirements of the respective mould area.
Compared with motor-driven proportional valves, the valves used respond faster and offer a longer service life. This reduces maintenance requirements and can contribute to lower service costs.
Flexible Control for Different Process Requirements
FlowControl combines several control options in one system. In addition to pulse temperature control, continuous Delta-T control, a defined flow rate and control based on return temperature are available.
Depending on the application, this allows a choice between pulse-based temperature control and continuous thermal management. Energy-efficient continuous control based on return temperature supports stable process conditions.
Central Monitoring and Control of Process Data
The RHYTEMPER control system provides a clear overview of the relevant temperature and flow rate values and enables direct access to the individual temperature control circuits. Individual limit and tolerance ranges support the early detection of process deviations.
Mould data sets enable stored settings to be restored reproducibly. The 15.6" panel also provides functions such as the integration of mould cooling plans, individual circuit labelling and leakage monitoring, as well as optional thermographic monitoring and remote maintenance access.
