Transparent Cooling Circuits for Stable Die Casting Processes
RHYTEMPER FlowWatch continuously monitors the flow rate and temperature of each individual cooling circuit in the die casting die. This makes changes in thermal conditions visible at an early stage, allowing them to be assessed before they affect process stability or component quality.
Water distribution close to the die and generously dimensioned manifolds reduce pressure losses and improve cooling performance. Under the operating conditions described in the current product documentation, RHYTEMPER FlowWatch achieves cycle times that are on average 10% shorter.
Individual limit and tolerance ranges enable targeted process monitoring. Deviations can be indicated by warning and alarm functions, supporting a stable and reproducible die casting process.
Robust Design for High Thermal Loads
All components in contact with the medium are made of stainless steel and designed for high resistance, low thermal expansion and reliable continuous operation. PTFE and FKM sealing materials enable operation at elevated media temperatures.
A robust stainless steel enclosure protects the sensors and electronics against mechanical loads and metal splashes. At the same time, the compact design reduces the required installation space and facilitates integration into existing die casting systems.
Additional safety functions such as a safety valve, enclosure temperature monitoring and insulation of internal components support safe and energy-efficient system operation.
Flexible Adaptation to the Application
The modular design enables the number of cooling circuits to be configured according to requirements. Additional function modules and manifolds can be added according to the requirements of the respective die casting application.
Optional functions such as bypass, blow-out unit and leakage monitoring can be integrated. The maintenance-friendly design also provides good access to each individual cooling circuit.
Central Process Data Monitoring
The RHYTEMPER control system provides a clear overview of temperature and flow rate values and enables individual limit and tolerance ranges to be defined. Die-specific data sets support reproducible settings for different die casting dies.
Depending on the equipment, additional functions such as die cooling plans, individual circuit labelling, leakage monitoring, thermographic monitoring and remote maintenance access are available. Appropriate interfaces enable the system to be integrated into the machine control system and higher-level process data acquisition.
