RHYTEMPER FlowWatch combines electronic flow rate and temperature monitoring with pressure-optimised water distribution directly at the injection moulding machine. The system can be operated independently or fully integrated into the injection moulding machine control system, taking into account the respective interface provided by the machine manufacturer.
Unlike conventional water manifolds, FlowWatch is installed directly on the machine platens. Generously dimensioned manifold pipes and individual circuits provide short routes to the mould and reduce pressure losses. At the same time, series connections created by bridged mould channels are consistently avoided.
The cooling water is supplied directly to the individual mould circuits. The reduced pressure loss lowers the required pump capacity of the temperature control units and can therefore contribute to lower energy consumption. Under suitable process conditions, average cycle time reductions of 10% can be achieved with RHYTEMPER FlowWatch.
Continuous measurement of the flow rate and temperature of every individual cooling circuit also provides a high level of process transparency. Changes are detected at an early stage and can be reported via warning and alarm functions before they affect process stability or component quality.
RHYTEMPER FlowWatch provides the basis for transparent monitoring of the temperature control circuits and can be expanded to incorporate further RHYTEMPER system solutions according to the requirements of the application.
